Biography: Born on Kuat, to a wealthy family of Talis, Arun was taken by the Jedi as a toddler from his parents and brought to the Jedi Temple on Kenobi for evaluation. Passing all necessary tests, he was placed into a Woodoo youngling clan, under the supervision of Jedi Master Darluc Ventri, a human. Woodoo youngling clan was one of the more promising groups, as master Ventri approached the training itself more directly, more aggressive than others. Arun quickly befriended other members of Woodoo youngling clan, especially an individual human girl, Ellehna Vanukar. They sparred together many, many times, intending to perfect themselves in lightsaber combat, as well as in utilizing the Force, under the guidance of their joint master. It took many years, before they were picked out of the clan by their future Jedi Masters. Both were in early teens by the time. Arun Talis was since then a padawan under Jedi Knight Anerla Zin, a togruta. Slowly getting to know each other at first, both the master and the padawan eventually found a mutual sense of trust and respect.
As Arun grew older and more proficient in Jedi ways, Anerla took him on mission to Cathar, where they were supposed to oversee negotiations about a very important trade agreement and the organizations pariticipating demanded the Jedi presence in order to keep the talks running smoothly. Unbeknown to anyone, there was an assassination planned, the assailant planning to eliminate everyone on the meeting, along with both Jedi. The assassin attempted to use an experimental type of exploding rocket, which he fired from the roof of a building next to the meeting place. The rocket flew inside the metting room through the window, but Anerla Zin sensed a disturbance in the Force and quickly retailiated, using her telekinetic powers to hold the rocket in mid-air, preventing it go off immedieately, tasking her padawan Arun to evacuate the people inside the room. After a short argue between the master and the padawan, Arun obeyed his master and led the cathars out of the room. As they were running through the corridors, the explosion went off and Arun ran back to the conference room, only to find destroyed room and his master's lightsaber hilt by the doors. Picking it up, suddenly filled with feeling of a great loss, he slowly returned to the traders, who already came to a quick agreement. After the incident, he returned back to the Jedi Temple, reporting the results of his mission and loss of Jedi Anerla Zin to the Jedi Council. Although the mission was successful, another lost Jedi has struck the Jedi Order deeply, as there were numerous reports coming from all corners of the galaxy, about the Jedi being hunted by either criminal organizations, or by several active Dark Jedi. Despite the Council tried, the said Dark Jedi eluded their capture. In the meanwhile, Arun Talis was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight. He did not take any padawan learner under his wings, instead growing more distant from others, spending most of the time meditating in the temple gardens or in his own meditation chambers, seeking knowledge and peace in the Force. The death of his master has struck him deeply, the feeling of pain and loss never leaving him completely. He was simply unable to overcome the feelings and his mind became clouded.
One day, as he was on a diplomatic mission to Kuat, he briefly met his parents, who participated in the mission as well. He was not sure what they expected, but he was not too fond of meeting them. Slowly, but surely drifting away from the Jedi teachings, the mission ended in disaster and Arun Talis soon vanished from the temple, leaving no trace, except his old lightsaber hilt, laying in the center of his meditation chambers. It was a sign of resignation and his name was added to the list of Lost Jedi. He stopped believing in Jedi ways, considering them lost and misleading. Travelling the galaxy, seeking a goal in his life, he stumbled on Korriban, a sandy planet, homeworld of the ancient Sith, once mortal enemies of the Jedi Order. He grew restless, as he explored the long-abandoned tombs, until he visited Tomb of Ajunta Pall, a very first Dark Jedi in recorded history and bringer of the lightsaber technology to the Sith. He felt he was not alone in the tomb, and his feelings proved right, when he encountered an individual, who presented himself as Darth Magnus.
Quickly overpowering the weaponless Jedi, Magnus offered him a way to follow. Path of a Dark Jedi, or as he presented it later, Way of the Sith. Arun, who thought it was what he was looking for, hastily accepted the offer and became informal apprentice to the strong Dark Jedi. They travelled the galaxy together, and Arun was slowly gaining insight on the Dark Side of the Force, which in turn gained insight to his own mind, twisting it slowly, and not soon after, Arun Talis became Darth Scotos, archivist, historian and mystic for the newly found Sith Order. Magnus was clearly following his own version of Rule of One, which was used by various Dark Lords of the Sith before him, along with the late Darth Krayt. They gathered other like-minded Dark Jedi, killing off those, who were not keen to follow, and after three long years of recruitment, they settled on the world of Ziost, a barren and dark planet in the Outer Rim, not so far from Korriban itself. There, the Shrouded Empire was founded, Darth Magnus became de facto the Emperor, and Darth Scotos, along with eleven other Dark Jedi became Dark Councillors.
Newly appointed Sith began to seek new allies through the galaxy, gathering criminals and every kind of low-life under their command. Darth Scotos travelled the galaxy for his own reasons. Gathering long lost Sith Holocrons. He visited vast majority of worlds, which ever hosted any Sith presence, amassing over two hundred holocrons, including those of Darth Andeddu, Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow, Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun, Darth Vitiate, Darth Revan, Darth Nihilus, Darth Traya, Darth Bane, Darth Tenebrous, Darth Plagueis and Darth Krayt. Storing these in the Sith Sanctuary he built for his meditations and studies, he slowly started to understand Dark Side of the Force even more, than he did under Darth Magnus' supervision. He locked himself inside the Sanctuary, allowing the Dark Side to provide his body with necessary things to keep himself alive, and meditated most of the time, this time, on the Dark side, not the Light, as he did during his time as a Jedi. The ancient Sith sought him as a tool, through which they could bring end to the new galactic order, which was founded by new Galactic Federation, which was in turn built on remnants of Galactic Triumvirate. Learning from the most powerful Sith, who ever lived, he understood benefits of Rule of One, Rule of Two, true understanding of the Sith code, history and even the ancient Sith language, known to others as the Old Tongue. He kept studying the Dark Side, even as the war broke out, hidden in his secluded shrine of knowledge, undisturbed in his meditations.
Now, the time has come, to finally interfere in Sith and Jedi affairs once more, now, with vast knowledge about both Jedi and Sith...

Personality: Before his fall to the Dark Side of the Force, Arun was easy going person, brave, cheerful and supportive of others. After his transformation into Darth Scotos, his personality drastically changed. He turned out to be twisted individual, who only respects power and knowledge. Once he surpasses his opponents or friends in the former or the latter, he considers them inferior to himself, and seeks any way on how to destroy them.

Strengths: He has slightly greater Force affinity than most of his peers. Through his studies of both the Light and the Dark sides of the Force, he gained an aura of omniscience, which makes other Sith feel inferior in knowledge compared to him. His intense study of the ancient ways of the Sith provided him with extensive abilities, when it especially comes to the Dark side of the Force.

Weaknesses: Darth Scotos' ultimate fear is his own death. If somebody used a projection of his dead body against him in combat, it would weaken him. He is not able to fight more than three opponents at once, so it would be rather easy for his enemies to strike him down, if there would be more of them.

Ships: N/A

RP Post: The Force called, and he followed. The jungle planet of Haruun Kal, a place, where the famous Jedi Master Mace Windu was born, has called to him. Darth Scotos opened his eyes, which were red, instead of typical dark sided yellow/orange. It was a result of his complete devotion to the Dark Side of the Force. He slowly stood up, as he was seated in the center of the meditation chamber inside his hideout on Ziost. He knew about the war, he knew the Sith were winning, but it was not the way the ancient Sith followed. The holocrons, which were shining in red moments ago, went dimmed, and then the crimson light inside them went out completely. It was a sign for Darth Scotos to leave. He felt an enormous disturbance in the Force, grabbing his chest, squeezing his robe with his gloved hands, as it hurt and he tried to let go of the pain, to ease it at least. Walking slowly towards the wall, he phased through the solid stone and metallic obstacle, which barred the way to the sanctuary for others. The last time he was out of the chamber itself was many years ago, during his search for holocrons. Now, he had something to do, at last. The Force guided him, and he listened.
Walking through the corridors, up to the surface, he found his sanctuary abandoned, as always. There was noone living in its vicinity, regular citizens feeling unsettled, when around the lone hill. His sanctuary was built inside a rock, which was always somehow hidden in the shadows, no matter if it was a day or night. There was only a freighter landed on a small clearing next to the mound, piloted by a droid, which was not linked to any global network, except for times, when it updated its own core with new information about the galaxy. Darth Scotos slowly walked towards the freighter, which lowered its ramp. There was a loud screech noise, and some dust fell off the hull. The starship was clearly not used in years. The Sith hoped the droid kept the insides clear. He was proven wrong, when he entered the starship. His boots ruffled the filter of dust on the floor, as he walked towards the pilot's cabin. Soon, he discovered why it was so. The droid was powered down, as its energy cells exhausted themselves years prior to this moment. Sighing, the Sith raised his hand and clenched his fist, watching the droid being squeezed and mashed with the Force, until only a little box of metal scrap remained. Letting it fall down onto the floor besides the pilot's seat, Darth Scotos powered up the command console, which ran the basic diagnostics, before powering the rest of the starship systems. The Sith Lord seated himself in the pilot's seat, waiting. The console beeped and the starship started its engines, letting the dark figure to lift it off the planet surface, and head slowly towards the dark sky. The dust falling from the hull no longer concerned him. With the guidance from the Force, he put the coordinates to Haruun Kal to the navigation chart, and as the freighter left the atmosphere, he jumped into hyperspace, heading towards the planet, where he was supposed to .... do what ? He closed his eyes, seeking answers within his mind, but nothing happened. He guessed it will have to wait, until he arrived on the designated place.
